Bangkok Airways — Asia's Boutique Airline, a privately-owned Thai airline, will be launching its daily direct Bangkok-Macau flights from July 4 onwards.

The Macau Special Administrative Region, commonly known as Macau, is one of the two special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China, the other being Hong Kong.

To promote this new air service between Macau and Bangkok, Bangkok Airways and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s office in Hong Kong (TAT Hong Kong) are jointly organizing a travel trade and media familiarization trip from Macau.

Designed to strengthen Thailand’s partnership with travel trade and media representing the Pearl River Delta, the fam trip programme to Pattaya — Asia’s premier beach resort, will also showcase a selection of Thailand’s latest chic tourism products and services as well as well-established attractions such as Horseshoe Point Resort, the International Riding School at Horseshoe Point, and Wat Sothon Waraviharn temple.

Bangkok Airways is sponsoring Bangkok-Macau round-trip tickets for approximately 20 product managers and active agents in Macau. Aisawan Resort and Spa in Pattaya will be hosting fam trip participants while other hotels will be sponsoring either meals or cocktail functions. As fam trip host, TAT Hong Kong will be hosting all land arrangements, entrance fees for tourist attractions and some meals during the stay in Thailand. Prior to departing for Suvarnabhumi Airport, on the final day of the programme, fam trip participants will spend much of the day at leisure.

Bangkok Airways joins Thai AirAsia and Air Macau in offering daily flights on this rapidly growing route.

Bangkok Airways
Bangkok Airways officially began its operations in 1986 as the country's first privately-owned domestic airline initially offering scheduled flights from Bangkok to Krabi, Korat, and Surin.

Presently, Bangkok Airways has obtained permits to operate scheduled flights over 20 different major routes-covering nearly all major resort destinations in Thailand. Additionally, the airline has also obtained permits to fly internationally to Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Japan.

Bangkok Airways has also invested in building and maintaining its own privately-operated airports at Samui, Sukhothai, and Trat. These developments provide Thailand with more air transportation hubs to in order to facilitate increasing air traffic volume.
