Buddha Statute Worship and Musical Playing Ceremony

Buddha Statute Worship and Musical Playing Ceremony originates from the reign of King Lithai of Sukhothai Period when he contained Buddha’s holy relics from Lanka into the stupa of Phra Barommathat Temple in Nakhon Chum Sub-district, to which Kings of various states paraded to pay respect afterwards. Nowadays, the ceremony is held annually, in which reproduced royal processions are held to imitate those past ones. Participators can walk with lit candle around the stupa. Local performances including light and sound ones and activities are available too.
